Pharmacy The pharmacy program at Teche Action Clinic is quite extensive. The
pharmacy staff has grown over the years and work hard to provide outstanding service.
On average, the Teche Action Clinic pharmacy issues 5,200 perscriptions per
month (that is 62,400 scripts a year). The pharmacy provides uninsured
clients with the basic, life-sustaining drugs that assist in controlling
diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. Major drug companies such as
Pfizer also offer extensive indigent-care pharmaceutical programs. In the
2003-2004-program year, Teche Action Clinic pharmacy staff assisted in
providing more than $2,154,235.00 in medications to our patients. This has
resulted in drastic household savings, especially for our elderly patients. |
